Guardian Ad Litem

In any action in which the Court needs to establish a Parenting Plan and/or a Time Sharing Schedule, if it is in the best interest of the child(ren), the Court may appoint a Guardian Ad Litem to act as evaluator, investigator, and advocate for the best interest of the child.  In Central Florida, a Guardian Ad Litem is usually a licensed attorney.  After completing an evaluation, the Guardian Ad Litem shall prepare a report and offer recommendations to the Court with regards to a Parenting Plan and Time Sharing Schedule based on the best interest of the child(ren).
